Tumbling Classes

EA tumbling classes follow a 12-week internally structured curriculum that has been developed and refined by Empire Athletics. Our athletes will follow a 60-minute curriculum weekly that is designed to promote and develop not just the technical skills of tumbling, but the necessary strength, coordination, and athleticism required for such skills. During class, athletes will participate in warm-ups & stretching, strength training, and drills to accomplish each skill set needed for their specific level. In the final week(12) of the program, athletes will be evaluated to progress to the next level. Classes are split by skill level, from Intro to Tumbling thru Level 5(twisting).

All Tumbling Classes are charged a flat monthly fee 
Auto-Payments will be run on the 2nd Friday of every month
Athletes will automatically be re-enrolled every month unless notified otherwise

Group Tumbling

Intro to Tumbling

Intro to Tumbling is dedicated to mastering the basics of tumbling. Skill execution of the following is required to progress to Level 1:

  • Backward Roll

  • Handstand

  • Cartwheel

  • Backbend

Intro to Tumbling can enroll at any point during the 12-Week Session.

Stunt Classes

Stunting Classes

Empire Athletics offers flyer training classes for both Co-Ed and Group Stunt.  Our athletes will participate in a structured 60-minute class that will include flying, stretching, strength, and balance & coordination development. EA offers a variety of stunt class options that are continuously being reviewed and updated for the latest techniques.
 
All Stunt classes 
are charged a flat monthly fee

Group Stunting

Group Stunting classes are 1 hour long. Flyers will focus on mastering the skills of Group Stunting, including:

  • Basic Mounts (Preps / Extensions)

  • Basic Twisting Mounts

  • Basic Inversion Mounts

  • Pop-offs and Cradles

  • Extended Single Leg Stunts

  • Immediate Extended Single Leg Positions

  • Full Twisting Mounts and Dismounts

  • Inversions to Prep and Extended

  • Transitional Stunts

  • Extended Single Leg Release Stunts

During class, athletes will participate in warm-ups & stretching, strength training, and drills to accomplish each skill set needed for their specific level. Specialty classes are designed to develop techniques for a specific skill or set of skills, therefore there is no level adjustment for these programs.
 
All Specialty classes are charged a flat monthly fee

Private Lessons

Empire Athletics is proud to offer some of the best Coaches in Colorado for local athletes skill development.  Our coaches will lead a structured, custom tailored 30-minute training session for your athlete.  EA Coaches split into Tiers(1-3) to make private lessons affordable for all budgets. Private Lesson are booked a month in advance, and require a small screening process to ensure placement with the most appropriate coach for the athlete.
 
All Private Lessons are charged a monthly fee, based on the number of lessons in the Month

Private Lessons are perfect if you are needing 1-on-1 time to perfect your skills! Tier 1 Tumbling Private Lessons are generally scheduled and billed monthly. Tier 1 Coaches are cleared to teach all Intro - Level 3 tumbling skills, and/or basic to intermediate stunt skills. Please see Group Class descriptions (above) for skills listings. Let's bust out some repetitions!

Standing Backhandspring Class is specifically for athletes who want to focus on learning and perfecting the standing back handspring!  This class will focus on strength and techniques, as well as LOTS of repetitions of the standing back handspring. 

 

Intro to tumbling class or previous tumbling experience required.
