Zach Hopkins

Stunt Coach

Zach began his cheerleading career in 2006 as a member of the Douglas County High School co-ed cheer squad. This squad would go on to be the 2007 and 2008 CHSAA State Spirit Champions in the 4A/5A Co-Ed division. He was a UCA High School staffer for the summer of 2009 and then went on to spend his freshman college year with Barton Country Community College in Great Bend, KS. He was a member of the competition squad that competed at NCA College Nationals in the Junior College division. After moving back to Colorado, Zach began his coaching career in 2012 with Alpine Athletics in Parker, Co. There, he coached Level 2 & 3 Youth All-Star teams as well as recreational tumbling. That same year he was also a part of the Cheer Central Suns International Open Level 5 team that would go on to win a full paid bid to worlds at WSA Nationals, and then place 9th at the USASF World All-Star Cheerleading completion. Zach joined the Empire family as a high school and co-ed stunting coach in 2014 and then left the program after a successful year to peruse his professional development as a project manager for an electrical contractor. Zach returned to us as a co-ed and group stunting coach last fall and has been an asset to the staff with his long experience and expertise.
